Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

When you run an audit:

  • The business name, address, place ID and service category you choose, fetched from Google Places.
  • The ChatGPT responses we receive when querying about that business.
  • Your IP address and an approximate country (via ipapi.co) so the autocomplete suggestions are localised.

When you pay or fill in the lead form:

  • Your name, email, and phone (where provided).
  • Billing details, these are handled directly by Stripe and we never see your card number.
  • The contents of your audit report, so we can deliver the file you paid for or, for the Done-For-You service, do the work.

2. Who we share it with

  • Stripe, payment processing.
  • OpenAI, to query ChatGPT during the audit. The prompts contain only the business name, service, and city.
  • Google, Google Maps and Places APIs power the autocomplete and place details fetch.
  • Supabase, our database, for storing leads and orders.

We do not sell your data to anyone. We do not run advertising on this site.

3. How long we keep it

Free-audit data (non-purchasers): the business name, audit results, and any email you provided are held server-side for 24 hours so that Stripe can deliver the correct report immediately after payment if you decide to buy. After 24 hours, this data is permanently deleted.

Paying customers: the audit report, customer name, email, and order details are retained for 6 years to meet UK HMRC record-keeping requirements (US: 7 years for IRS where applicable). We do not use this data for marketing without your explicit consent.

You can request deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing team@askedaudits.com, subject to our legal obligation to retain transaction records for tax purposes.

4. Your rights

You can request a copy of the data we hold on you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email team@askedaudits.com from the same address used to make the order.

5. Cookies

We use the minimum cookies required to run the site:

  • Essential session cookies: maintain your audit progress and Stripe Checkout session. Required for the site to function.
  • asked_cookies_v1 (localStorage): remembers that you have seen the cookie banner so we do not keep showing it.
  • Stripe.js: sets cookies during checkout for fraud prevention. See Stripe's cookie policy.

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party advertising or fingerprinting trackers.
